Essar bulk terminal paradip organises mega health check-up camp

250+ individuals were give free medicines and medical advice

Essar Bulk Terminal Paradip Limited (EBTPL), in accordance with its HSE (health, safety and environment) philosophy had organised a free mega health check-up camp at Talapda, Atharabanki, Paradip on December 24, 2021. The camp was inaugurated by Mr. U Venkat Rao, CEO, EBTPL, Mr. Prasanta Behera, CFO, EBTPL and Mr. Ananta Subudhiray, JGM Commercial, EBTPL.

Essar Bulk Terminal Paradip Limited organised the camp with an aim to improve the health conditions of the people residing in conveyor line area and communities in and around EBTPL. A team of sixteen volunteers including employees of EBTPL and the members of local youth club helped the patients during their registration, consultation and medicine distribution process.

Reputed state medical doctors including Dr. Basanta Kumar Rout – a Pediatrician, Dr. Diptirekha Behera – a Dentist, Dr A. K Nayak – a Gynecologist, Dr Niranjan Dwibedy – Medicine department, provided free medical consultation at the camp.

The camp was organised and coordinated by Mr. Yugajyoti Mohanty, CSR officer, EBTPL along with two experienced paramedics providing first aid services, conducting various check-up such blood sugar and blood pressure and performing minor surgeries at the camp. Additionally, a team of three pharmacists was available on-site to provide necessary distribution of medicines as prescribed by the specialists. More than 259 patients were provided with free medical advice and medicines at the camp.

As part of the company’s CSR programme, EBTPL has been conducting various social initiatives throughout the year in the field of Health, Education, Livelihood women empowerment etc. for the sustainable development and welfare of the people at Paradip.
