EPGL celebrates double victory at the 2nd National Power-Gen Leadership Awards 2024

Essar Power Gujarat Limited (EPGL) is proud to announce our double victory at the 2nd National Power-Gen Leadership Awards 2024, held in Delhi, where we received the Best National Power Gen Excellence Unit award and the Best National ESG Initiative of the Year award from the Council of Enviro Excellence (CEE). This recognition highlights EPGL’s commitment to sustainable power generation and environmental best practices.

In the private sector category for Independent Power Producers (IPPs) with capacities exceeding 500 MW, EPGL stood out among industry leaders, including NTPC, Jindal Power, Jaypee Power, Bajaj Power, Singareni Collieries, Apraava (Jhajhar Power), and various state generation companies.

We were honoured with the Best National Power Gen Excellence Unit award, which acknowledges our dedication to operational excellence and technological innovation. This award reflects our commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality power and highlights the significant improvements we have made in plant performance over the past year.

Additionally, we received the Best National ESG Initiative of the Year award, recognising our proactive approach to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. Through various sustainability initiatives and community engagement efforts, including the retrofit of our 600 MW units and the implementation of a seawater intake system, EPGL has set a new benchmark in the industry.
